Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house converted into flats in West Cromwell Road in West Kensington.
Part of a flat on the first floor of the building was damaged by fire.
Five people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade and three people were rescued from the third floor by ladder.
The Brigade was called at 2239 and the fire was under control at 0004 (March 24). Fire crews from Kensington, Hammersmith and Fulham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
