Four fire engines and 21 firefighters and officers were called to a fire at a house in Salisbury Road, Wood Green.
Most of the ground floor of the terraced house was destroyed by the fire. One man left the property before the Brigade arrived. He was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
Sadly crews found one dog which had died in the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2242 and the fire was under control at 0004.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
