Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a caravan fire on Green Lane, Chessington.
One caravan was destroyed by fire. Two neighbouring bungalows also sustained minor damage in the fire. Firefighters removed a 47kg propane cylinder from the scene and cooled it down to ambient temperature as cylinders can explode when exposed to heat.
The Brigade was called at 1908 and the fire was under control at 2030. Fire crews from Surbiton and New Malden fire stations, along with colleagues from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.
