Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a hotel on Mandeville Place, Marylebone.
A small part of the hotel bar area was damaged by fire.
The hotel’s fire alarm system sounded and alerted hotel staff to the fire. Around 190 people left the hotel before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 0346 and the fire was under control at 0450. Fire crews from Soho and Euston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be radiating heat from a charcoal oven igniting a nearby timber bench.
