Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a maisonette on St John’s Way in Islington.
A maisonette on the first and second floor of a four-storey block was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1254 and the fire was under control by 1339. Fire crews from Walthamstow, Hornsey and West Hampstead fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be damage to a cable which led to electrics arcing.
