Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire in a flat above a shop in Leigh Road in Saint Pancras.
Part of a second floor flat was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1800 and the fire was under control at 1836. Fire crews from Islington, Shoreditch, Euston and Kentish Town fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
