Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Rancliffe Gardens in Eltham.
Part of the roof of a semi-detached house was damaged by fire and a number of sheds in adjacent properties were also destroyed.
Fire crews worked hard to stop the fire from spreading to surrounding homes. A woman left the property before the Brigade arrived. She is being checked over by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers have taken 25 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1538 and the fire was under control by 1640. Fire crews from Eltham, East Greenwich, Greenwich and Sidcup fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
