Two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform were called to reports of a fire on the train tracks at London Bridge station.
Approximately ten per cent of the underneath of one train carriage was damaged by fire. All passengers were removed from the train and there were no reports of any injuries.
Station staff isolated the power on three tracks at the station to allow fire crews to gain access to the track.
The Brigade was called at 0841 and the fire was under control at 0950. Fire crews from Dowgate, Dockhead and Soho attended the scene.
