Six fire engines and 40 firefighters were called to a house fire in Kinloss Gardens in Finchley this morning.
The fire damaged the whole of the first floor, a loft conversion and around half of the ground floor of the detached property. It also damaged the roof and a car parked in the property’s drive. There are no reports of any injuries.
Station Manager Robbie Robertson who was at the scene said: “Initial crews attacked the fire quickly and at its height there were around 40 firefighters at the scene who worked hard to bring it under control.”
The Brigade was called at 0650 and the fire was under control by 0907. Crews from Finchley, West Hampstead and Hendon fire stations attended the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
