Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house in Cotleigh Road in Romford.
A lean to next to a semi detached house was destroyed by fire. The blaze also damaged part of the kitchen and a small part of a window on the ground floor.
The Brigade's 999 control officers took 18 calls to the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1900 and the fire was under control at 1939. Fire crews from Romford, Dagenham, Hornchurch and Harold Hill fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
