Four fire engines and around 25 fire fighters were called to an electrical fire in a basement of a building on South Audley Street in Westminster.
The fire was discovered by electricians following a power cut in the building. The Brigade were called, but the fire had been extinguished before they arrived. It is believed a dry powder extinguisher was used to put out the fire.
The Brigade were called at 2039 and the fire was under control by 2132. Fire crews from Paddington and Soho attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
