Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire outside a hospital building in Winsland Mews, Paddington.
The fire destroyed two wheelie bins in an alley way between two hospital buildings. Part of an adjacent window was damaged by heat and smoke.
The Brigade was called at 0438 and the fire was under control at 0545. Fire crews from Paddington, Kensington and Euston fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and Metropolitan Police Service.
