Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat in Millharbour in Millwall.
Part of a fourth floor flat was damaged by fire. Approximately 60 people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1802 and the fire was under control at 1901. Fire crews from Millwall, Poplar, Shadwell and Whitechapel fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
