Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a building on High Holborn, Holborn.
Part of an office on the 7th floor was damaged by fire. It also affected the void between the 7th and 8th floors. Around 80 people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade.
The Brigade was called at 0946 and the fire was under control at 1112. Fire crews from Soho, Euston, and Shoreditch fire stations attended the scene.
The Brigade's fire investigators believe the fire was accidental and caused by a halogen lamp coming into contact with timber in the ceiling.
