Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to a fire at a maisonette on Trevor Square in Knightsbridge.
Part of a five-roomed maisonette on the fifth and sixth floor was damaged by the fire as well as a small part of the roof. Six people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0709 and the fire was under control at 0811. Fire crews from Lambeth, Fulham, Chelsea, Kensington and Soho fire stations were at the scene.
The Brigade's fire investigators believe the cause of the fire was an electrical fault in a consumer unit.
