Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a grass fire on Squadrons Approach in Hornchurch.
Approximately four hectares of grass was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1504 and the fire was under control by 1612. Fire crews from Hornchurch, Wennington, Harold Hill and Dagenham fire stations attended the scene.
