Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire in a house converted into flats in Byam Street, Fulham.
Half of the ground floor flat was damaged by fire. A resident left the first floor flat before the Brigade arrived.
A dog sadly died in the fire and another was rescued by firefighters.
The Brigade was called at 2105 and the fire was under control by 2210. Fire crews from Fulham, Wandsworth, Chelsea and Battersea Fire Stations attended the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
