Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Coombe Road in Croydon.
Part of a four-roomed flat on the first floor of a four-storey block was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1317 and the fire was under control 1423. Fire crews from Purley, Norbury and Wallington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
