Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to flooding in Amblecote Road, Grove Park.
Fourteen houses were affected by flooding to a depth of 50cm. Firefighters directed water away in to the nearby River Craggy and distributed sandbags to nearby properties to try to prevent further water from entering.
The Brigade was called at 0217 and the incident was over for firefighters by 0823. Fire crews from Lewisham, Lee Green, Bromley and Eltham Fire Stations attended the incident.
