Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a restaurant with flats above on Limpsfield Road in Croydon.
A single storey outbuilding at the rear of the property and some wooden decking were destroyed by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 20 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1442 and the fire was under control by 1531. Fire crews from Purley, Addington, Mitcham, Woodside and Biggin Hill fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire has been recorded as undetermined.
