Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a lorry fire in Merrielands Crescent, Dagenham.
The cab of the lorry was destroyed by the fire. The trailer was damaged and the cargo was also destroyed. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1347 and the fire was under control by 1542. Fire crews from Dagenham, East Ham and Ilford fire stations attended.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 12 calls to the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
