Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a mid-terraced house on Fairfax Road in Hornsey.
A conservatory was destroyed by the fire and a small part of the ground and first floor were damaged. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1331 and the fire was under control by 1427. Fire crews from Holloway, Tottenham, Hornsey and Southgate fire stations were at the scene.
The Brigade's fire investigation team believe the fire was accidental and was caused by an unknown electrical event in a fridge.
