Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a block of flats in Farm Lane in Fulham.
Part of a flat on the third floor was damaged by fire.
One man left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and firefighters rescued one man from a neighbouring property. Both men were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 1433 and the fire was under control at 1535. Fire crews from Tooting, Soho, Paddington and Kensington fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
