Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Gosling Way in Lambeth.
Part of a the kitchen of a five roomed flat on the third floor of a five-storey block was damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1801 and the fire was under control by 1925. Fire crews from Brixton, Lambeth and Clapham fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
