Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Riversdale Road in Islington.
A bedroom on the second floor of a terraced house was destroyed by the fire and the rest of the second floor was damaged by smoke and heat. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2259 and the fire was under control by 2349. Fire crews from Stoke Newington, Islington and Holloway fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
