House fire – Ladywell

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Francemary Road in Ladywell.

Half of the first floor of a terraced house was damaged by fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued one man from the first floor of the building who was treated on scene and taken to hospital.

The Brigade was called at 1322 and the fire was under control by 1438. Fire crews from Lewisham, Forest Hill, Greenwich and Lee Green fire stations attended the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
