Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Altmore Avenue in East Ham.
Most of the first floor and part of the ground floor of an end-of-terrace house was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0528 and the fire was under control by 0651. Fire crews from East Ham, Plaistow, Barking and Stratford fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
