Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at an industrial park on Kemp Road, Dagenham.
The alarm was raised when a member of the public noticed smoke and fire coming from a vehicle. Half of a lower shipping container and part of an upper shipping container were damaged by fire. Two vehicles were also destroyed in the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade received 11 calls about the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2112 and the fire was under control by 2340. Fire crews from Homerton, Dagenham, Barking and Hornchurch fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
