Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a terraced house converted into flats on Weymouth Street, Marylebone.
Half of a five roomed flat on the ground floor was damaged by the fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued one woman from the ground floor flat. She was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade was called at 2256 and the fire was under control by 0002 (Wednesday). Fire crews from Euston, Soho and Paddington fire stations attended.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
