Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Coburg Crescent in Brixton.
The second floor of a mid-terraced house was destroyed by the fire and part of the first floor was damaged. Four people left the property before the Brigade arrived. A male teenager suffering slight smoke inhalation and a woman suffering shock were both treated on the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 18 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1639 and the fire was under control by 1747. Fire crews from West Norwood and Brixton fire stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
