Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to a fire at a bungalow on Hammond Avenue in Mitcham.
A small part of the front bedroom of a semi-detached bungalow was damaged by fire. Firefighters assisted one man from the property who was treated on scene.
The Brigade was called at 1722 and the fire was under control by 1743. Fire crews from Mitcham and Norbury fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
