Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a small fire at a commercial building on Braidwood Street in London Bridge.

Part of a basement storage room was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade was called at 1929 and the fire was under control by 1945. Fire crews from Dockhead, Dowgate, Whitechapel and Old Kent Road fire stations attended the scene.

The Brigade’s Fire Investigators believe the fire was caused by water which came into contact with electrical apparatus.
