Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to reports of a flooding on Oakcroft Road in Chessington.

The road covering the area between Oakcroft Road and Hook Rise South was flooded to a depth of around six inches. Crews used sand bags to stop the flood water from spreading and diverted the water to drains after a water main burst.

The Brigade was called at 1559 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1752. Fire crews from Surbiton, New Malden and Sutton fire stations attended the scene.
