Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Sheppard Street in Canning Town.
The porch of an end-of-terrace house was destroyed by fire and part of the front fascia of the building was damaged by fire. Part of the ground floor of the house and a small part of a vehicle were also damaged by the blaze. Around seven people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 1831 and the fire was under control by 1924. Fire crews from Plaistow, Poplar, Stratford and East Ham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
