House fire - Enfield

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Pentrich Avenue in Enfield. 

Half of the ground floor and part of the first floor of an end-of-terrace house was damaged by fire. Three people left the building before the Brigade arrived. Firefighters rescued two men from the flat roof on the first floor of the building using a short extension ladder. Crews wearing breathing apparatus led another man to safety from the ground floor who was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews and taken to hospital. 

The Brigade was called at 0414 and the fire was under control by 0526. Fire crews from Enfield, Edmonton, Chingford and Southgate fire stations attended the scene. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
