Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Castleview Gardens in Ilford.
The roof of an end-of-terrace house was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 17 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 1207 and the fire was under control by 1335. Fire crews from Ilford, East Ham, Woodford and Dagenham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
