House fire - Ilford

Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Meads Lane in Ilford.

A free standing shed in the garden of a mid-terraced house was destroyed by fire. Half of the external side of the building and part of the external fascia of several neighbouring properties were damaged by fire. Part of a flat roof of an adjacent property was also damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 20 calls to the fire.

The Brigade was called at 1658 and the fire was under control by 1826. Fire crews from Dagenham, Hainault, Barking and Ilford fire stations attended the scene.

The Brigade’s Fire Investigators believe the cause of the fire was accidental.
