Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at shop on Kingsbury Road in Kingsbury.
Half of the ground floor of the building was damaged by fire and an adjacent outside seating area was destroyed. Two vehicles were also damaged by the blaze. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued two men, a woman and three children via an internal staircase. They were all treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews and taken to hospital.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 22 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 0247 and the fire was under control by 0418. Fire crews from Hendon, Stanmore, Mill Hill, Wembley and Finchley fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
