Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to a fire at a shop with flats above on Kidderminster Road in Croydon.
Crews tackled a small fire on top of the external shop fascia. Around 15 residents left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0252 and the fire was under control by 0316. Fire crews from Croydon and Norbury fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
