Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a flat on Queensdale Crescent in Notting Hill.
Part of a three-roomed flat on the eighteenth floor of the building was damaged by fire. Around 40 people left the building. Sadly, a cat was found dead at the scene.
The Brigade's Fire Investigators believe the fire was accidental and involved a hair dryer.

The Brigade was called at 2030 and the fire was under control by 2130. Fire crews from North Kensington, Hammersmith, Kensington and Acton fire stations attended the scene.
