Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Deansbrook Road in Edgware.
Most of the ground floor of a mid-terrace house was damaged by fire and the first floor and the roof of the building were destroyed by the blaze. Part of the roof of a neighbouring end-of-terrace house was also damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 24 calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2056 and the fire was under control by 2203. Fire crews from Stanmore, Hendon, Finchley and West Hampstead fire stations attended the scene.
The Brigade’s Fire Investigators believe the fire was accidental and involved a tumble dryer.
