Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on The Drive in Ilford.
Part of the ground floor, first floor and the roof of a semi-detached house were damaged by fire. Most of a skip on the driveway was also damaged by fire and part of the scaffolding on the building and the external fascia were damaged in the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0131 and the fire was under control by 0239. Fire crews from Ilford, Stratford and East Ham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
