Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to reports of sheds alight on Matthias Road in Stoke Newington.
Two sheds and around 20 metres of garden fencing at a block of flats were destroyed by fire. Crews removed five fire extinguishers and cooled them to an ambient temperature. A 25 metre cordon was put in place as a precaution whilst crews worked to make the scene safe. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 0148 and the fire was under control by 0302. Fire crews from Stoke Newington, Islington and Holloway fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
