Firefighters dealt with a small fire at a care home on Ferncliff Road in Hackney.
The fire was confined to a three-roomed flat on the ground floor of the building. Firefighters assisted one woman from the flat. She was treated on scene by London Ambulance Service crews after suffering from smoke inhalation.
The Brigade was called at 1806 and the fire was under control by 1842. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Homerton, Stoke Newington and Bethnal Green fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
