Firefighters were called to reports of cars alight following a collision on Hedgemans Road in Dagenham.
A telegraph pole and a bus shelter were damaged and two cars, a street lamp and a bus stop were destroyed by fire. A small part of the fascia of a nearby terraced house was also damaged by the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 13 calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2038 and the fire was under control by 2132. Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters from Barking and Dagenham fire stations attended the scene.
