Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a shop with flats above on Harrow Road in Wembley.
The fire was discovered by a member of the public who saw smoke coming from the rear of the shop and alerted a passing police officer who called the Brigade. Half of the ground floor shop was damaged by fire. Two men left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire is believed to have started in a bin outside the property and spread into a store room.
The Brigade was called at 1016 and the fire was under control by 1135. Fire crews from Wembley, Northolt, Harrow and Ealing fire stations attended the scene.
