Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a food storage warehouse on Centre Way in Edmonton.
The fire was discovered by an employee who saw smoke and flames coming from a storage area attached to the warehouse containing wooden pallets. Crews extinguished the fire and moved the wooden pallets outside.
A small part of the roof and half of a storage yard were damaged by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade was called at 2242 and the fire was under control by 0011. Fire crews from Edmonton and Enfield fire stations attended the scene.
The fire is believed to have been accidental and caused by wooden pallets being stacked next to a halogen flood light and catching alight.
