Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to a fire at a vehicle repair workshop on Portman Place in Bethnal Green.
Two cars and some car parts under a carport were destroyed by the blaze. Part of a shed, a van and a minibus were also damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 41 calls to the fire.
The Brigade was called at 0818 and the fire was under control by 0849. Fire crews from Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, Shoreditch and Dowgate fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.
