Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a house on Cobham Road in Wood Green.
A single storey rear extension was destroyed by fire and part of the first floor was damaged in the blaze. Half of a two storey scaffolding structure at the rear of the property, an adjoining fence and the ground and first floor windows and door frames of an adjacent property were also damaged by fire. Sadly, one cat one was found dead.
The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 21 calls to the blaze.
The Brigade was called at 2308 and the fire was under control by 0045 (Wednesday). Fire crews from Hornsey and Tottenham fire stations attended the scene.
The Brigade’s Fire Investigators believe the fire was accidental and involved a fridge freezer.
