Firefighters rescued a cat who had fallen from height on King’s Road in Chelsea.

The cat, called Ping Pong, had fallen four floors on to the flat roof of a building.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Ping Pong was stuck in a hard to reach area of the roof, so crews used some food to entice her towards them so that they could reach her and bring her down safely.

“Despite falling four floors, she was luckily unhurt and crews took her back home to her owner.

“We would always encourage people to call the RSPCA in the first instance if they see an animal stuck or in distress.

“Firefighters love animals too and we are always happy to assist if our specialist equipment is required, as in this case.”

The Brigade was called at 2313 and the incident was over for firefighters by 2333. Fire crews from Chelsea Fire Station attended the scene.
